Red Hat has announced a new beta version of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.x series. New test Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6 Beta release brings improvements to security, management tools, and Linux containers.
The company announcement states:
“Using Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 hardware modules, the NBDE capability is extended to provide two levels of security features in hybrid cloud operations: The network-based mechanism is implemented in the cloud, while the use of on-premise TPM helps keep disks updated more securely.
To better integrate intrusion prevention measures, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Firewall features have been improved with nftables improvements.
The nft command line tool can also provide better control. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6 beta provides new cryptographic algorithms for the RSA and ECC standards, which help maintain FIPS compliance and remain valid by NIST cryptography standards and by other organizations responsible for managing sensitive information "
