For those who want a chance to see Windows 95 again, there is a solution. THE developer Felix Rieseberg of Slack managed to turn Microsoft's famous operating system into a free application which runs on almost all platforms: Mac, Windows and Linux.
The application is about 130MB and can be downloaded from GitHub.
The latest version is called "windows95 v1.0", and is said to be a full version of Windows 95.
It includes a functional desktop, all the expected Start menu apps, and all the standard settings.
Currently, Notepad, Paint and the classic apps are running games from Microsoft such as Solitaire and Minesweeper. Other Microsoft and third-party applications do not work.
In addition to this, those who are thinking of using the application will not experience the Windows 95 boot process as the desktop appears almost instantly.
Let's see… Will Microsoft ask the developer of the free application for copyright?
