The functional system Neptune is a GNU/Linux distribution for desktop computers. It is based on Debian (Stable), but uses a newer Kernel.
The distribution differentiation outside of the newer kernel is due to the fact that it has some drivers and newer versions of popular applications, such as LibreOffice, by default.
Neptune OS comes with its latest version surfaceKDE desktop. The main goals of the distribution are to provide a reliable desktop with built-in applications for media playback. The distribution also comes on Live DVD for those who wish to try it out before installing.
