LibreOffice 6.1.1: Document Foundation announced the 6.1.1 edition of the LibreOffice suite 6.0. It is the first minor release of the LibreOffice 6.1 series that was released on early August of 2018 for all supported platforms.
LibreOffice 6.1 has been developing for the past six months and comes with new features such as enhanced image management functionality that is significantly faster and smoother, especially when you open documents created in Microsoft Office.
LibreOffice 6.1 also features a new Page menu and reorganizes the Draw component menus for better consistency across sections. The new version comes with an improved EPUB export filter with additional options for customizing metadata and better support for links, pictures, tables, footnotes and embedded fonts.

Another important improvement is that the Firebird database engine is now enabled by default, replacing the old HSQLDB database engine. Developers recommend all stakeholders to convert their files from HSQLDB to Firebird using the conversion assistant or exporting them to an external HSQLDB server.
The new LibreOffice 6.1.1 is the new version of the open-source and cross-platform office suite used in many functional Linux and not only.
