Microsoft has withdrawn the warning for browsers

Microsoft stopped showing it which suggested blocking the installation of Google Chrome and Mozilla in Windows 10 preview builds.

In previous publication We reported that Windows 10 releases of Windows Insider had a warning not to install third-party browsers such as Chrome and Firefox.Microsoft

This alert did not have any settings to prevent it from appearing. It seems that Microsoft has completely withdrawn the warning after the public reactions.

The company says it was just one conducted as part of the Windows Insider program, but does not say whether it will implement it in Windows 10 at some point in the future. However, the company guarantees that users will be able to choose which browser to run on their computer. Thanks Microsoft!

"We have tried this one only with Insiders. The Windows Insider Program allows Microsoft to test different features and functionality and receive feedback before moving forward. Our customers retain control and can choose the browser of their choice” Reported a company representative, according to ZDNet.

Although it has every right to test its functionality, some of the changes it proposes from time to time are at least controversial. One of these will force Windows 10 users to open all links from the App Store to Microsoft Edge, regardless of the default browser.

So with 2018 Update we probably won't see the warning, but we expect Microsoft to push similar ideas in future Windows 10 updates.
