Η Microsoft plans to change how .NET Framework updates will be delivered to Windows 10 devices.
Starting with Update After October 2018, updates to the .NET Framework will be delivered in a cumulative format, just like Windows 10 updates.
.Net Framework updates will be delivered either as stand-alone updates if the installed functional system is Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 or as part of the cumulative update on Windows 10 devices. Microsoft explains that Windows 10 users who have enabled automatic installing the updates will not notice any difference as the cumulative updates for Windows 10 and .NET Framework will be downloaded and installed together on their systems.
The new upgrade approach will take effect with the Windows 10 October 2018 update that will be released next month, when systems with Windows 10 will start receiving a cumulative update for the operating system and another for .NET Framework.
