A Publication from HTNovo reveals that the company is promoting alerts security in Windows to emphasize the importance of ransomware protection in Windows 10, recommending that users enable the feature from Settings.
A security alert appears in Windows Security Center (in the upcoming version it will be called Windows Security) when the application is opened. The alert suggests users set OneDrive to automatically back up certain files as protection against ransomware.
This the feature is not new, since it was originally added in Windows 10 April 2018 that was released earlier this year. But it seems Microsoft is waiting for more users to try it in the upcoming Window 10 October 2018 Update.
