The Arch Linux project today released a new ISO snapshot (Arch Linux 2018.10.01) for those who want an updated installation tool for fresh installs of the operating system.
Arch Linux 2018.10.01 contains Linux kernel 4.18.10, and includes all the latest updates software and security patches that have been released throughout September 2018.
This means you will not need to download hundreds of updates after installing Linux Linux on a new computer.
Recall that Arch Linux is one rolling operating system which follows a rolling update rollout model. So if the user of the distribution makes the updates they don't need to install any new edition of the operating system.
