Project Stream Play Assassin's Creed in Chrome

Google Project Stream: Can you think of "serious" games in a web browser? Not random flash games but from the latest big games coming out like the 's Creed Odyssey through Chrome?

Google is getting ready to make it a reality. Today the announced Project Stream, its own 3D game streaming platform like GeForce Now. Google says the project is a "technical test to solve some of streaming's biggest challenges."Project Stream

The company is leading the way, and starting October 5, "a limited number of participants" will be able to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey on the platform.

Although there is only one game, it is still an unusual move by Google. We have long heard rumors that Google is preparing a cloud gaming service codenamed "Yeti", but today we have the first specific hint.

Of course, many hardcore players may not be satisfied with streaming games, but it could prove to be a valuable alternative for players who are not as lucky with the fidelity and latency of their computers.

Needless to say, you will need fast internet for the new service to work. Google recommends 25 megabits per second. Those who are interested can sign up to try Project Stream from here.
