The clonezilla live is a Live CD that contains disk cloning software similar to Norton Ghost. Saves and restores only used tracks on your hard drive.
With Clonezilla, you can clone a 5 GB system into 40 computers in about 10 minutes.
Clonezilla is based on Debian, and is specifically designed for disk and partition copying.
The distribution includes in addition to its own niche tools and some well known to Linux friends like partimage, ntfsclone and partclone. All of these enhance the distribution's capabilities as they help it copy a wide variety of filesystems: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS for Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs, and nilfs2 for Linux and MacOS's HFS+.
It also copies UFS for FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, minix for Minix, and VMFS3, VMFS5 for VMWare ESX.
The Clonezilla distribution recognizes logical volumes on Linux (LVM2) and recognizes network controller drivers, sambafs, sshfs, etc. So it can create backups and on remote computers via SSH, Samba or NFS.
Today version 2.6.0-26 has been released and can be downloaded from the following link:
