Recent versions of Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system have a mode called Activity History, which tracks what you do on the device so they can create points reference.
Activity History triggers the Timeline function of your operating system. Currently, only a few applications, such as Microsoft Edge or Office, support this feature, and the main idea is to display history to users.
Activity History comes with three basic options in the Settings app:
Save my activity history to this device.
Send my business history to Microsoft.
Show activity for specific accounts.
The first monitors the activity on the device, the second sends it to Microsoft.
However, even if you disable all three options in Settings, your activity may be in the Microsoft Dashboard Privacy Dashboard at account.microsoft.com.
A Reddit user noticed the event and published a question on the subject. The connection was made with a local Microsoft account and was only used for the Store.
The user of Reddit he noticed that even with the activity history turned off, his activities were appearing on his Microsoft account's privacy checklist.
I verified it on a Windows 10 device. With Activity History disabled in the Settings app, Microsoft Privacy Dashboard continues to show my activity on the device.
You can verify this by yourself by opening the Microsoft Privacy Dashboard and choosing it History of activities when loaded.
