Desktop App Assure: Windows 7 is now running last days of support, and Microsoft seems to be trying to persuade users of the operating system to upgrade to Windows 10. So the company thought it best to ensure that anyone interested in the system upgrade would run smoothly.
In 2018, the company announced the application Desktop App Assure, aimed at making the transition to Windows 10 an easier process. The app is currently available globally and in ten different languages.
Microsoft says it has already done extensive testing and found that only 1% of apps may need additional tweaks when upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10. In other words, 99% of apps will work perfectly on Windows 10 and Office 365 ProPlus when they exist in functional Windows 7.
The Assure Desktop App, except from the easiest and safest upgrade also offers free support in case you find yourself in the 1% and problems appear in Windows 10.
"For our customers who reached out to our support team, only 0,1% of their applications ran into compatibility issues," explains Microsoft.
