The upcoming Ubuntu 19.04 will be called Disco Dingo, and of course the accompanying logo is designed accordingly.
The logo uses linear art depicting a dingo (wild dog from Australia) looking up and wearing headphones because it's probably a DJ. If it's not a DJ, it's definitely a Disco Dingo.
Each version of Ubuntu comes with a very strange name consisting of an adjective and an animal. Tradition means that every new version of OS comes with its own distinct personality and design.
To help promote each release, Canonical's designers are preparing a new Wallpaper for desktop along with a new official mascot image.
The upcoming Disco Dingo logo uses polygon-like lines and neon 80s.
So if you are using the older version of the operating system and you are used to the curves of Cosmic Cuttlefish, change can be seen from refreshing to sharp.
