Microsoft announced today, March 7, that Windows 10 has been installed on more than 800 million "active" Appliances, from 700 million that was last autumn.
Microsoft revealed the new number via one tweet from his account Corporate Vice President of Modern Life & Devices Yusuf Mehdi.
"We thank all our customers and partners for helping us achieve 800 million Windows 10 devices," Mehdi tweeted today, March 7th. The tweet also displays the following image:
For a moment, the number of Windows 10 installations stopped at "almost 700 million". This was probably the reason why Microsoft stopped providing regular updates on the number, but also why company executives they discovered that they also counted the installations of Windows 10 in virtual machines.
Once this has been corrected, WindUs 10's countdown has started again.
The above measurement concerns the monthly devices with Windows that were "active" for the last 28 days. Includes Windows 10 on PCs, tablets, phones, Xbox consoles, HoloLens and Surface Hub devices and includes all different versions of Windows 10.
