Microsoft yesterday released the cumulative update KB4490481 for Windows 10 for devices running version 1809, which is the latest for regular computers.
The version became available only one day after the company sent it to the inner Preview ring Release. The update is available exclusively for Windows 10 version 1809, also referred to as the “October 2018 Update”, and increases the build number of the operating system to 17763.404.
The list of changes (changelog) contained in KB4490481 is huge and you can see it at English language, from here.
However, it is worth noting that this update fixes an issue that has affected computers with multiple audio devices. This is an error recognized by Microsoft in previous cumulative updates.
We read in the Changelog: “The applications that provide advanced options for internal or external audio output devices, may stop working unexpectedly. This issue occurs for users who select an audio output device other than “Default Audio Device”. Examples of applications that may stop working include Windows Media Player, Realtek HD Audio Manager, and Sound Blaster Control Panel”.
Additionally, Microsoft reports that it has resolved a bug that caused the reset της διάταξης του menu “Έναρξη”, μετά από την αναβάθμιση σε Windows 10 έκδοση 1809. Με άλλα λόγια, μετά την αναβάθμιση από μια παλαιότερη έκδοση των Windows 10 στην έκδοση 1809 τον Οκτώβριο του 2018, το μενού “Έναρξη” έχασε τις settings therefore this cumulative update addresses this unexpected behavior.
At the time of writing, there are no reports of failed installations and everything went smoothly on our devices, here at iguru.
