The recent cumulative updates for the operating system Windows 10 October 2018 or version 1809 seems to be having problems during installation. THE Microsoft acknowledged (again) the problems and promised a fix (sic).
According to official information released by Microsoft itself earlier this week, the issue concerns only Asian language packages in Windows 10 October 2018.
The official KB pages of affected cumulative updates mention the following:
"After you install KB4493509, devices with some installed Asian language packs may display the error" 0x800f0982 - PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND "
Read from the Microsoft KB Page.
Although Microsoft claims that this issue only exists in cumulative information KB4493509, which was released on April 9, the same error occurred in two other Windows 10 updates of version 1809 that were released in early May.
The complete list of cumulative updates that present this error is:
9 April 2019-KB4493509 (OS Build 17763.437)
1 May 2019-KB4501835 (OS Build 17763.439)
3 May 2019-KB4495667 (OS Build 17763.475)
According to the solutions offered by Microsoft, the users they should try to uninstall and then reinstall the language packs on their devices.
However, the company also states that if the above solution does not work, it must be fully restored to the system…
Meanwhile, Microsoft claims that it is trying to develop a solution for a complete fix of the problem and promises to include an upcoming update.
