The developers of the MX Linux distribution have just released the ISO version 18.3. MX Linux 18.3 is an upgrade of the MX-18 version, and brings fixes, and several application updates from the original MX-18 version.
Note: Users of version 18 will simply need to update their operating system. No new installation required.
The latest updates come from Debian 9.9 (stretch), and the antiX and MX repositories. New updated mx-apps The mx-installer (based on gazelle-installer) updated.
The installer has suffered processing to allow the user to enter system configuration options while the copy files from the installation medium, speeding up the installation time of the distribution.
Added new encryption encryption options in ESP environments. Added improvements to the UEFI boot setup routines, and fixed a lot errors.
The kernel has been updated to version 4.19.37-2 (package name linux-image-4.9.0-5) and includes the patches for zombieload vulnerabilities. Existing users can change Kernel from MX-PackageInstaller > Popular Apps path.
