The developers of the MX Linux distribution have just made the ISOs of version 18.3 available. MX Linux 18.3 is a refresh of the MX-18 release, and it brings fixes, and quite a few updates applications from the original version of the MX-18.
Note: Users of version 18 will simply need to update their operating system. No new installation required.
The latest updates come from Debian 9.9 (stretch), and the antiX and MX repositories. New updated mx-apps mx-installer (based on gazelle-installer) updated.
The installer has been edited to allow the user to enter system configuration options while continuing to copy files from the installation media, speeding up the installation installation time.
New encryption options added in ESP environments. Improvements have been added to the UEFI boot installation routines, and many bugs have been fixed.
The kernel has been updated to version 4.19.37-2 (package name linux-image-4.9.0-5) and includes the patches for zombieload vulnerabilities. Existing users can change Kernel from MX-PackageInstaller > Popular Apps path.
