e-consumer: Super market prices are coming to mobile phones

Here comes the e-consumer platform that will see daily on your phone, the lowest prices of super market essentials, as well as fuel prices.

e-consumer

The Ministry of Development and Investment will soon launch an e-consumer platform that will send you real-time and region-wide prices of commodities from supermarkets and service stations to your phone.

The platform is expected to launch at the end of 2019 and using it of geolocation will send you basic supermarket product prices and fuel prices in your area. That is, your mobile phone will tell the platform where you are and the prices of your area will automatically come to it.

The whole process will be done through an application for which will communicate with the platform of the Ministry of Development and Investments, and will be called e-consumer.

The e-consumer will replace the failed and obsolete e-prices.gr (price watch, no longer working), which did not work well as someone had to go to the e-prices website and choose a county from there. , after area, to see prices in a wider area, like the Municipality of Athens for example.

It should do the same with now fuelprices.gr, where you can see the cheapest gas stations. He must first enter the site, then choose a county, then an area, and then the type of fuel.

At the e-consumer, retailers themselves will post daily commodity prices set by the ministry. Automatically, the platform will sort products and prices, so the consumer will see on his mobile a complete list of commodities, by store and by location.

Thus, through the application one will be able to directly compare the prices, without having to do various searches on their screen of.

The big difference for the e-consumer will be that the shopkeepers themselves will post their prices, while so far (fuel price observatory) prices are being updated at fuelprices following on-the-spot billing carried out at department stores and then posted in the observatory.
