Microsoft released a new operating system version 20H1. The new Windows 10 20H1 build 18970 marks the beginning of Microsoft's promise to use the cloud to restore a PC.

It also includes a new "desktop" feature for tablet users.

With the upcoming 20H1 release, Microsoft plans to make the new Cloud Reset feature available to all Windows 10 users.

The new feature in Windows 10 20H1 build 18970 will allow you to install the same version that is installed on the user's device. Removes the applications that users have installed and if "Remove All" is selected, it also deletes all data.

Η blog publishing of Microsoft states that the Cloud Reset will not currently work when “certain optional features are installed”.

These optional features include all RSAT tools, EMS and SAC Toolset for Windows 10, IrDA infrared, print management console, RAS Connection Manager Administration Kit, SNMP, Windows Fax and Scan, Windows Storage Management and Display WMI SNMP Provider.

Build 18970 also brings a new tablet option (still in Beta) for those with 2-in-1 convertible devices.

This option will allow those who disconnect or connect the keyboard to their tablets to stay in desktop mode.

To accomplish this, Microsoft added a few tweaks such as increasing the space between line icons and the touch keyboard that automatically displays when users touch each text field.

This new option is only available in "a portion" of Insiders, according to a Microsoft blog post.
