CentOS 8.0.1905: As you may know, the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 released on May 7 on 2019.
From that date on, all distribution friends are waiting for the free release of CentOS 8.0.1905 because Red Hat “Enterprise” costs…
Among the friends I am personally, and as I write this update, I also pass the ISO to USB for the new installation. Yes the first ISOs appeared in distribution repositories, and I don't hold back! The official announcement has not yet been made by distribution developers as they are waiting for ISOs to be transferred to all repo mirrors.
CentOS is a distribution I've been using for many years (from 4.5 onwards), so I couldn't leave that release.
The operating system mostly used for "setting up" servers, but it also works great as a desktop for all those who care more about stability, rather than the latest versions of the packages. The new distribution also contains new libraries which means it will support newer applications. The CentOS operating system is developed by a community of open source contributors.
CentOS users are typically companies and individuals who do not need strong commercial support for their operating system.
