Yahoo he said that will delete all content from the free online discussion platforms, Yahoo Groups;
Yahoo reported that Mr website Yahoo Groups will continue to exist, but users will no longer be able to upload new content starting October 21st. From December 14, all content posted on the site will be permanently deleted.
This content includes archives, polls, links, photos, folders, databases, calendars, attachments, conversations, email updates post officeuh, review messages and message history.
"You have until that date to save anything you upload," the announcement said.
Users will be able to download their data from the site's privacy control panel, according to Yahoo's announcement.
The company also says that all public groups will be made private, to continue giving managers limited access to some of the group settings and some of the management tools.
Any new team member will need to request an invitation or be invited by a manager to be able to participate in a private one.
Yahoo goes on to say that users who still wish to share information and files from Yahoo Groups can do so by email.
"You will be able to contact your teams via email and search for private teams on the site," the company said.
Yahoo did not say why it made that decision in its announcement.
Recall that Yahoo was acquired by Verizon with a $ 4,5 billion deal. Purchase completed on 2017.
Earlier this year, Verizon said goodbye to Tumblr, which he sold to Automattic, the mother WordPress company. Verizon had also acquired Tumblr as part of the deal to buy Yahoo.
Yahoo had acquired Tumblr 2013 with a $ 1,1 billion deal.
