Facebook unveiled its new brand

Facebook has just unveiled its new brand through a marketing announcement by Antonio Lucio.

Facebook is changing its trademark and it seems to place it in all of its applications. The company's marketing manager, Antonio Lucio, issued a statement today with all the details.

Specifically, the Communication states:

Facebook started as a single application. Now, 15 years later, we offer a suite of products that help people connect with friends and family, find communities and grow businesses.

Today, we're updating our company branding to be clearer about products that come from Facebook. We're introducing a new corporate logo and further distinguishing the Facebook company from the Facebook app, which will keep its .

The New branding was designed for the sake of clarity and uses custom typography and capital graph to create a visual distinction between the company and the application.

People need to know which companies own the products they use. Our main services include the Facebook app, , Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Workplace, Portal and Calibra. These applications and technologies have shared infrastructure for years, and the teams behind them often collaborate.

We started to be clearer about the products and services that were part of Facebook years ago, adding a company endorsement to products like Oculus, Workplace and Portal. And in June we started to include "from Facebook" in all our applications. In the coming weeks, we will start using the new brand in marketing products and materials, including a new company website.

This of the brand is a way to better communicate our ownership structure to the people and businesses who use our services to connect, share, build community and grow their audiences.
