The Dropbox company announced yesterday that the new Dropbox data transfer tool Transfer is available to all customers of the service.
The company had launched Dropbox Transfer Beta in July 2019 to select customers only, as a workaround for sending files to others. The main idea behind Dropbox Transfer is to design a simple way to send files to anyone, whether they are Dropbox customers or anyone else, without having to worry about access rights and connections to archives.
The problem with Dropbox was old. Sometimes you just want to deliver files without having to access your platform. And while you could do it with an email, this solution stumbles on the 25 MB limit.
dropbax Transfer allows you to send up to 100GB of files with just a few clicks. Simply select the files from your hard drive or Dropbox account to create your transfer. You can even protect them with code access and set an expiration date to encourage recipients to download the files immediately. Using it will get you a link that you can send to anyone, even if they're not a Dropbox customer. After you send it, the view statistics let you see how many times it was downloaded archive.
Dropbox Transfer is designed to send files directly to recipients, similar to how your Dropbox Transfer works Firefox Send.
