Yes Microsoft Teams and for Linux: Microsoft released the Teams application a group discussion program for the Linux platform as a preview yesterday of 10 December.
No it's April Fools, Microsoft Teams for Linux systems is already available for download today in .deb and .rpm formats (Link at the end of publication). Executives at the company said all key application features would be available to Linux users as well.
Microsoft's blog post states that “the app Pickupsoft Teams is the first Office application to come to Linux desktops”.
Is Microsoft hinting that we might also see OneDrive or some others? applications of Office on Linux?
No one knows, as there is still no official placement. It would be interesting, though, as Microsoft's popular Office would have to compete for free LibreOffice.
Microsoft already offers the Teams application on computers with Windows, Mac, mobile devices with iOS and Android and also on the Web through the browser you use. It's the competitor to the Sack app that already has one client for Linux.
