Windows 10 Build 19541: alarm if an app uses location

09/01/2020 10:08 by giorgos

Microsoft has released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 19541 for fast ring insiders. The new build lets you see the process architecture shown in the task manager, while the operating system will notify you when an application uses location services.

The company has changed the notification area icon for when an app uses your location. The new image appears in the following screenshoot:

So if you are an Insider registered in the fast ring, you can update Build 19541 from the path: Settings - Update & Security - Windows Update and then just check for new updates.

Microsoft has also warned that it is investigating reports that updates take a long time. If you notice this in the update of this build, just give it some time until the installation is complete.

To see the full release notes and fixes that the new build of Windows 10 brings, you can read the post at Microsoft blog.
