Jerry Bezencon has announced the release of Linux Lite 4.8, a new stable release of the novice user-friendly distribution of Project Ubuntu 18.04-based project Lite that uses the Xfce desktop:
“Linux Lite 4.8 is final available to download and install. I take this opportunity to welcome all Windows 7 users who have come here to find a simple, fast and free alternative to Windows 7, which has reached the end of its life and no longer provides security updates.
Linux Lite can make the transition to a Linux-based operating system easy by offering a complete office suite compatible with the Microsoft suite, and well known software such as Firefox, Chrome, Teamviewer, VLC as well as full system backup tools, but also a complete and easy to use help manual to guide you on your journey. It has Steam pre-installed so you can keep playing your Windows games.
