Adobe released the first software updates on Tuesday for 2020

Adobe released updates yesterday to cover a total of 9 new ones in two of the widely used of Adobe Experience Manager and Adobe Illustrator.

This is Tuesday's first patch for 2020 and one of the lightest patches for Adobe users. In addition, none of the vulnerabilities covered this month have been made public by the company.

Five of the nine security vulnerabilities are, according to Fortinet Forgguard Labs researcher Mr. Honggang Ren, "critical" in severity and affect Adobe Illustrator CC 24.0 and earlier versions.

According to an advisory published by Adobe, all five critical issues in Adobe Illustrator software are memory corruption, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on targeted systems.

The remaining 4 vulnerabilities affect Adobe Experience Manager (a comprehensive content management solution for building websites, applications for and forms) none of which are critical in severity but should be corrected at the earliest opportunity.

This is also due to the fact that Adobe has flagged security updates for Adobe Experience Manager with a priority score of 2, which means that similar flaws have been observed in the past, but so far the company has found no evidence of exploiting these vulnerabilities.

Finally, Adobe today released Illustrator CC 2019 version 24.0.2 for the OS of Windows and patches for Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5.

Adobe recommends that end users and administrators install the latest security updates as soon as possible to protect their systems and businesses from potential cyber attacks.
