The developers of the MX distribution Linux released today version 19.1. Of course, as with any new version of the distribution, iGuRu.gr releases a custom iso which aims to make your life easier. The new version supports its installation Linux Kernel 5.4, but will not install it by default.
A few words about the MX Linux
The MX Linux, a distribution Linux based on the Debian firmware, and as you may know, is one of the distributions we recommend for all, experienced or novice users. The distribution came from a collaboration between its communities antiX and MEPIS Linux which has stopped growing.
It uses Xfce as the default desktop, and is an operating system that combines a sleek and efficient desktop with simple settings, high stability, consistent performance and minimal footprint.
In short, it is a fairly light distribution that does not sacrifice quality ..
Distribution offers a snapshot feature ISO.
What is this;
Add your operating system along with all its settings to an image ISO which can be inserted into a DVD, or USB drive to reinstall that system!
Yes, another type of backup.
For those who have not tried the distribution, below is a custom ISO, from the system I use.
It contains several pre-installed applications but also different DEs (KDE, Xfce) so that you do not have to format a new installation.
In the additional applications to mention the latest Google Chrome, Opera, Brave, Filezilla, Firefox (64), Pinta, qBittorrent, Nvidia drivers, MX codecs and much more so that the distribution works flawlessly and with many additional applications immediately after installation.
Other key features:
To mention that the official ISO is at 1GB, while the custom I uploaded to Google Drive reaches 4,0 GiB (4.245.684.224)
The ISO and md5 for file authentication come as a .zip package.
Live ISO screen:
Contains additional files without personal settings and my accounts have been removed for obvious reasons. So after the installation with a few clicks you will be able to have a ready system with pre-installed almost everything you need.
