Microsoft plans to end support for the Windows 10 of version 1809, also known as 'October 2018 Update'. The operating system will stop receiving security updates starting May 12, 2020. If you don't remember version 1809, let us tell you that it was the most adventurous version of Windows, so much so that some called it Vista.
Windows 10 of 1809, codenamed 'Redstone 5', was a major update to the Windows 10 family. It brought File Explorer with dark theme support, added Screen snip as a new option to quickly activate the Action center, Cloud Clipboard and in the Windows HD Color options in application "Settings".
Microsoft has withdrawn this version of Windows 10 (October 2018 Update) quickly right after its release due to some critical bugs. On March 20, 2019, Microsoft re-released the functional system to the public.
According to the company's schedule, from May 12, 2020, all Windows 10 SKUs of version 1809 will no longer receive updates.
