The Clonezilla Live is a Live CD that contains disk cloning software similar to Norton Ghost. Saves and restores only used tracks on your hard drive.
With the Clonezilla, one can clone a 5 GB system on 40 computers in about 10 minutes.
The Clonezilla distribution is based on the Debian, and is specially formatted for copying disks and partitions.
Distribution includes except from its own specialized tools and some well known to Linux friends such as partimage, ntfsclone and partclone. All of these enhance the distribution's capabilities as they help it copy a wide variety of filesystems: FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, and NTFS for Windows, ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs, and nilfs2 for Linux and MacOS's HFS+.
Clonezilla Live: It also copies UFS for FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD, minix for Minix, and VMFS3, VMFS5 for VMWare ESX.
Clonezilla Distribution recognizes logical volumes on Linux (LVM2) and recognizes network controllers, sambafs, sshfs, etc. It can also back up remote computers via SSH, Samba or NFS.
