Facebook has unveiled a new design for the first time dark mode for its website on desktops at last year's F8, but so far, only a few of its users have been able to access it.
That is about to change: Facebook told TechCrunch that "starting today, the majority of our members will have access to the new desktop design." This includes a new smart dark mode feature.
The new feature will not be presented to its users social network automatically. TechCrunch reports that the feature is currently opt-in and you can get it by going to the Facebook.com settings menu by clicking "see new Facebook".

As you can see from the image above, the aesthetics are completely changing and according to TechCrunch, the home page and the browsing in general are much faster.
It seems to be the biggest redesign of Facebook in years. Let's see if the change becomes permanent.
