Microsoft Editor: available for Chrome and Edge

05/04/2020 22:21 by Dimitris

Microsoft he announced a new service called Microsoft Editor. It is an AI-supported spelling helper that corrects spelling, grammar and punctuation errors.

microsoft editor - Microsoft Editor: available for Chrome and Edge

Microsoft Editor, like LanguageTool that we introduced earlier, helps you write correctly in 20+ languages, including Greek. As it is an add-on to Chrome and Edge browsers, it will help you spell what you type in these two browsers.

The Microsoft Editor add-on has two different steps. The free version that includes the basic features such as spelling, grammar and punctuation and requires you to have a simple Microsoft account. And the premium paid version, where you get high-level grammar and style feedback on clarity, content, wording, vocabulary, vocabulary suggestions and more.

When you install Microsoft Editor, you will see a new Editor icon in the browser toolbar. You can click this to sign in to your Microsoft account. If you have an Office 365 or Microsoft 365 account, then you automatically have the Premium version and you will see additional improvements. Only basic spelling and grammar checks are available with free Microsoft accounts.

Extensions are now available in various stores and you can download the new Microsoft Editor add-on for your browser Edge from here and for Chrome from here.
