Instagram announced today that launches online DM to everyone. Finally, after several years of allowing your messages to be accessed only through the application, you can also view them in your browser.
The site has been testing web DMs (from Direct Message) for several months and made the DMs available to a testing team last January, promising to release them sometime in the future. From today, however, the new feature is available to everyone, worldwide.
Given the situation with COVID 19, it is a small but welcome addition to one of the most popular social networking platforms in the world.
I do not know about you, but lately I spend a lot more time on the desktop than before, and of course on the websites of social networks which I used to only use from my phone.
So from today if you are looking for your DMs in the web client, you can find it in the upper right corner of the site.
It has most of the Direct Message features for mobile, along with an emoji keyboard. You can see your inbox immediately from here.
