The purpose of the tool is to enable system administrators to isolate workstations that may have been compromised until they are available for recovery.
The tool is not intended to replace the full capabilities of an endpoint security system (antivirus) but to provide protection against a range of attacks (BIOS attacks) that most protection products are not designed to manage or detect them.
"Detection at this level allows companies to respond to advanced threats quickly and successfully, breaking the chain of attack before it can do more damage," the company said on Friday.
The tool Dell SafeBIOS Events & Indicators of Attack is its latest security offering Dell. Since the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Dell has provided its customers with many flexible endpoint solutions.
