We changed the plugin and now we use the free version The SEO Framework, using the plugin SEO Data Transporter for transferring our data from one plugin to another. Although it is too early we can already see some differences.
The new add-on has been developed keeping in mind huge and busy websites, so far we find it much faster compared to other popular add-ons SEO.
Uses fewer resources on the server than other popular ones SEO plugin.
Performs fewer processes in SQL and does not add additional tables.
Does not contain ads.
When we first installed the plugin years ago there were no tables. Then the database of each site that uses the application, got two tables, the wp_yoast_seo_links and wp_yoast_seo_meta. In the last update I found out that another 4 had been added!
I need a plugin that does its job consistently, without ads, just works. I do not want to feel like a guinea pig, because you came to try something new. Try it with your friends.
Why am I saying this? I noticed the 4 extra tables when I saw a prompt from Yoast SEO to index to add links somewhere. I thought of clicking the index but reading below, they mentioned that it is not mandatory.
Then why did they add it? What do they need and what are they thinking of doing? No I will not look for answers for a plugin that I need to do a specific job. I do not want it to be heavy, with a bunch of additives SEO. Less code complexity means your server runs less code, which saves you resources if you need them. cache.
For Google XML sitemaps, the new plugin has the function but only for simple sitemaps and not for Google News. No problem. XML Sitemap & Google News offers both features.
We will not miss the graphics and constant updates when the Google algorithm changes infrequently. Goodbye, Yoast!
