BackBox Linux 7 penetration reviews & tests

BackBox Linux is a distribution based on the well-known Ubuntu operating system and is used for security assessments and penetration tests. The developers of the project have just released a new stable version, BackBox Linux 7.

The new version upgrades key components of the distribution and fixes a lot those from the previous version.

The latest release of the BackBox 7 distribution is based on the long-term support release of Ubuntu 20.04. The distribution now has version 5.4 of the Linux kernel and as DE version 4.14 of Xfce.

"OR of BackBox is pleased to announce the new major release of BackBox Linux, version 7. As usual, this major release includes many updates, such as a new kernel, updated tools, and some structural changes with a focus on maintaining stability and compatibility with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

What's new: updated Linux kernel 5.4, updated desktop environment, updated hacking tools, up-to-date hybrid ISO images with UEFI support

System requirements: 32 or 64 bit processor, 1.024MB system memory (RAM memory) 10GB disk space for installation, graphics card with 800×600, μονάδα DVD-ROM ή USB (3GB). ISO images for 32-bit and 64-bit processors can be downloaded from the official download site.”
