The most notable change for the Windows 10 May 2020 Update is the storage requirement, as from this version you need at least 32 GB to install. This makes sense, as Microsoft has added a new feature and the operating system needs more storage space. So before you get started you should consider that you need a larger 32GB hard drive + the space you need for your own files.
Internet connection is not required for Windows 10, but recommended for updates.
Installing Windows in S mode, on the other hand, requires an Internet connection, according to the company, not only for the initial installation, but also for a possible upgrade to the full version of Windows 10.
And of course, there are features that require special hardware. For example, if you want to activate Windows Hello, you need special hardware for biometric testing, such as a face recognition camera that is certified for this function.
You can see the full list of specifications set by Microsoft from here.
Microsoft has always advised users of older versions of Windows, such as Windows 7, to purchase a new computer to take advantage of the Windows 10 experience, as they are built for next-generation hardware.
