Expliot: Internet Of Things Exploitation Framework

09/06/2020 23:26 by Anastasis Vasileiadis

Expliot is a Security Framework for IoT device infrastructure. It provides a set of plugins and can be easily expanded to create new plugins.

Installation

  • sudo gem install bundler
  • sudo apt-get install ruby-dev
  • git clone https://gitlab.com/expliot_framework/expliot.git
  • cd expliot
  • bundle install

Use

  • cd expliot
  • ./efconsole.rb
  • ef> run -h

Obviously there is no tool that can cover (test) a whole range of attacks on our IoT home system.

Our goal with EXPLIoT is to get as close as possible, that is, to cover as many IoT protocols, hardware platforms and products as possible. We will explain the coverage of the Framework based on protocols and technologies including what, why and how for each add-on.

Available  Plugins / Tests

  • Bluetooth LE
  • CAN
  • CoAP
  • DICOM
  • I2C
  • mDNS
  • Modbus
  • MQTT
  • SPI
  • UART
  • UDP
  • Zigbee
