The Pidgin is a chat program that allows you to connect with your accounts in many networks chat at the same time. This means you can chat with friends in XMPP and watch an IRC channel at the same time, or chat on Facebook Messenger.

Pidgin is compatible with the following chat networks: Jabber / XMPP, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Lotus Sametime, SILC, SIMPLE and Zephyr. It can support many more networks with addons.
Virtually the app can connect you to any existing chat network as long as you add it suitable addon (plugin).
The Pidgin application is constantly evolving. Releases are usually frequent and come from user contributions such as bug reports and patches.
Pidgin is free and does not contain ads. All of our code is open source and available under the GNU General Public License. This means that you can download the Pidgin app code and modify it according to your needs, as long as you publish your changes for everyone to benefit from.
