Windows 10 what will we see by 2021?

"We are currently releasing Windows 10 and because Windows 10 is the latest version of Windows, we will continue to work on Windows 10," Microsoft developer Jerry Nixon told Ignite 2015.

In addition, Microsoft will continue to develop new versions of Windows 10, such as Windows to ARM, and will release Windows 10X next year, a new version of the operating system designed for foldable devices as well as single-screen devices.

Microsoft has decided to release a major update and a minor update in 2020.

The first important update of the year "Windows 10 May 2020 Update” is now available for consumers and the second feature update with code “20H2” will be a small update with improvements and fixes.

Update 20H2 of Windows 10 will be smaller in size and will be similar in format to the 1909 version of Windows 10 (November 2019 Update), which was also small.

A big and a small update will make the life of system administrators much easier, especially if everything goes well.

Following the release of 20H2, Microsoft plans to release the "21H1" update for Windows 10. According to Microsoft's standard release program, the 21H1 version of Windows 10 should be released in the spring of 2021 and will bring new features.

One of the new features expected in the 21H1 version is a redesigned Start Menu that will use a transparent background to present the new colorful icons with Fluent design.

In a newly edited post on the company's blog, Microsoft mistakenly confirmed that the Windows team will see Windows 10 21H1 “Iron” as a preview build in the second half of June.

In October 2019, Microsoft announced the Windows 10X for dual-screen devices, such as the Surface Neo, which is expected to be released in December 2020.

However, Microsoft recently revealed that the release of the Surface Neo has been postponed and that the Windows 10X are now targeting single-screen computers as well.

In a blog post written by Windows and Devices CEO Panos Panay, he revealed that Microsoft developers are shifting their focus to Windows 10X in an effort to meet current customer demand.

"These single-screen devices will be the first expression of Windows 10X that we deliver to our customers and we will continue to look for the right time, in collaboration with our OEM partners, to bring dual-screen devices to market," Panos said.

Windows 10X is expected to be released in 2021 when Microsoft makes significant improvements to the operating system for better usability and adaptability.

Microsoft is also working on a new context menu that will offer more shortcuts, such as a new navigation option, tab access, and more.
The company is also preparing to launch a new modern File Explorer with its stylish icons Fluent Design.

This new UI will add many features, such as a better connection to OneDrive and Google Drive.
