EETT informs the consumer public of the measures to ban availability on the market, withdraw and recall the product LEAGOO S8 (smart mobile phone), based on the control carried out by the French National Frequency Agency (ANFR) as part of its supervision market radio equipment (see European Directive 2014/53/EU, which has been incorporated into the Greek legal order with Decree 98/2017).
It is noted that the imposition of the above measures is considered justified by the European Commission and is implemented without delay by the EU Member States, in the context of the EU process of protection and safeguarding the health and safety of citizens.
The said LEAGOO S8 mobile phone, which is marketed by the LEAGOO company market Co., Ltd., after measurements by an accredited laboratory for account of the French Authority, was found not to comply with the requirement of article 3.1.a of the above Directive.
Specifically, the ANFR measurements revealed values that exceed the approved regulatory limit of the Special Absorption Rate (SAR) of the trunk of 2W / kg, as the SAR of the LEAGOO S8 phone has been measured at 2,39 W / Kg.
EETT invites consumers who have purchased the specific product to contact their supplier to find out the terms of its return.
