Microsoft Teams has become an important product for companies, especially now during the COVID-19 crisis, but Microsoft does not want to lose consumers either. So today she announced a new version of her service.
It's called Microsoft Teams again, but this one new version is aimed specifically at home users and is supposed to allow them to connect with friends and relatives.
It may seem like another chat app, but Microsoft says the Microsoft Teams idea for home users will help them with a lot of things like coordinating, communicating and collaborating on personal projects.
Some examples of Microsoft include scheduling a vacation or working on a to-do list. You can even create and share shopping lists with your family team.
The new service Microsoft Teams comes with the basic feature set, so it will not be as powerful as the one aimed at companies. You'll have text messaging, chat and video calling, support for groups, lists, documents, and calendar sharing, Microsoft 365 collaboration, and location sharing.
In addition, the application has the Safe feature that allows the sharing of sensitive information.
“The Microsoft Teams app also has a 'safe', which allows you to securely store and share important information, such as passwords, payment amounts or login information. You can easily share directly from the Teams app so your whole family can easily access your home Wi-Fi password or service connection streaming. All are backed by two-factor authentication security and encryptions end-to-end," says Microsoft.
The app is available from today for those who want to try it, like preview in devices Android and iOS. All you need is a Microsoft account.
