Read Aloud in the Microsoft Edge beta

Πριν από λίγο καιρό, ο Microsoft Edge () got the Read Aloud feature on the Canary and Dev channels. Today it is available to Edge Insiders running the beta version of the browser.

Read Aloud allows you to read PDF files, EPUB books and web pages. Those who use it can adjust the reading speed and voice to their liking.

This feature is not new to the Edge app. Microsoft's old EdgeHTML browser already had it. But at the moment the of Read Aloud is a bit behind its predecessor as it lacks quite a few features like notes, page view and more.

In Edge Chromium, however, it also supports the PDF.

To activate it open the internal address: edge: // flags / # edge-read-aloud-pdf and activate the flag.

Read Aloud is available in operation αλλά και offline. Εάν βρίσκεστε σε μια περιοχή χωρίς online, this can be particularly convenient. A basic set of voice options is also available when you're offline.

An Internet connection is required for the full set of voice options.
