Dark Web, Deep web and Marianas web

Dark Web, Deep web and Marianas web: There are two webs. There is the normal web that most people use every day, which is easily accessible and indexed by search engines.

Then there's the "dark web" - hidden sites that won't show up when you do a Google search and you can't access them without special software.

What exactly are Darknets

"Dark tissue" is a subset of "deep tissue". The deep web is the only part of the web that is not accessible to search engines. You will not find these sites when you use a search engine such as Google or Bing, but they are otherwise normal sites.

The "dark web" is a smaller part of the deep web that can not be accessed without special software.

Dark web exists in darknets, which are "overlapping networks". They are built over the normal Internet, but need special software to access them, so they are not usually visible or accessible to strangers.

For example, free software  Tor  hides a darknet. Although you can use Tor to anonymize your web browsing activity on regular sites, Tor also offers .onion or "hidden Tor" sites.

These are special sites that you can only access through Tor. They use Tor anonymity to hide by hiding where the server is located - assuming the server is configured correctly. Only people connected to the Tor can see them, so they are not usually accessible and it is difficult for anyone to track who is visiting them.

Theoretically, it would be impossible to locate these servers and see who is visiting them. In practice, the Tor service had some security flaws or sometimes not set up properly so it could report their true location to the authorities.

Tor "secret services" are the most popular dark web addresses, so we focus on that here. But there are other darknets designed to serve other purposes, such as file sharing networks designed to secretly share pirated software and multimedia files.

What will you find on the Dark Web?

Darknets hide sites that do not want to be on the Internet, where they can be found. These sites include what is known as dark web.

Dark web provides anonymity - both for people who visit the sites and for the sites themselves. Political dissidents in an oppressive country could use the dark web to communicate and organize.

Whistleblowers can secretly leak into the dark web using sites like The New Yorker's Strongbox , reducing the risk of being detected. Even Facebook offers it of as a hidden Tor service, making it more securely accessible to people in countries where Facebook may be blocked or monitored.

The US government is providing some funding for the Tor project, to create software that people in oppressive countries can use to access information and organize without censorship or surveillance. Darknet can allow this.

This anonymity allows for other types of sites that would otherwise be excluded from the normal web. Everyone would agree that most should not exist.

You will find websites that sell stolen credit cards, lists of social security numbers, forged documents, counterfeit coins, arms and drugs. You'll also find gambling sites and directories of criminal services, including people advertised as killers. Payment for such services generally includes Bitcoin, an "anonymous" digital currency.

One of the best known examples of a dark web site was Silk Road, a huge drug site for sale, with Bitcoin payments. The drugs were sent to buyers by mail.

It is worth noting that it is not everything you see on the dark web - most of it may not be visible at all, especially the most extreme web pages. Are these criminal services and products that are actually advertised, or are they just there to fool people and get their money? Some of these are traps set up by the authorities to catch those trying to recruit assassins, buy weapons or obtain counterfeit coins.

There is a lot of ugliness in the dark web and we are not exaggerating. Search for lists of Tor secret services - that is, lists of sites ending in .onion - and you will find that most of them are either criminal or just disgusting.

Sites not on Google

The Hidden Wiki

When you first start the Tor browser, you will not immediately see a .onion page. The application provides you with a more secure (encrypted) way to access the normal web. To visit a .onion site now, you need to know its address. There are several ways to find active .onion websites. One of them is The Hidden Wiki.

Dark Web will remind you of the old days of the Internet (if you've got it). You can browse through site directories, and the Hidden Wiki is one of them. Here you will find a variety of links to different sources in the dark web. Hidden Wiki is a good starting point for both young and old dark web users.

ProPublica

Onion URL: https://www.propub3r6espa33w.onion/

Η ProPublica is probably the first major news source to launch a version of its Dark Web page in 2016.

ProPublica is a non-profit news organization that aims to "expose abuses of power and betrayals of public confidence in government, business and other institutions, using the power of investigative journalism."

Why did she go to the Dark Web? According to ProPublica, the main reason is to provide its readers with an anonymous way of browsing.

You probably do not want to visit the Dark Web

If you are in an oppressive country and want to access social networking sites or news sites that are blocked or censored by your government, the dark web will come in handy.

If you want or need to leak documents to the media while maintaining your anonymity, this is a great reason to visit the hidden internet.

However, we do not recommend clicking and exploring the dark web without good reason. There are many bad things in the dark web and many of the things you will see are scams.

Information about the Deep Web

According to the author of the article Andy Greenberg, the Dark Web represents 0.01% of the Web and not 90% as often reported by blogs and Media.

Continuing says:

The Dark Web is not very big, it is not 90% of the Internet, and it is not very secretive. In fact, the Dark Web is a collection of websites that are visible to the public but hide the IP addresses of the servers that run them.

This means that anyone can visit the Dark Web, but it can be very difficult to figure out where it is hosted, or by whom.

Most websites on the Dark Web use Tor anonymity software, although a smaller number use a similar tool called I2P.

Both of these systems encrypt web traffic in layers and dump it on randomly selected computers around the world. Each of these servers removes one of the layers of the single encryption before passing the data to the next server. In theory, this is what prevents any spy, even those who n one of these servers that distribute the encrypted data, to understand the origin of the motion and its destination.

This way the IP addresses of these websites are kept secret, but this does not mean that they are necessarily secret.

Hidden services in Tor, such as sites that sell drugs Silk Road, Silk Road 2, Agora and Evolution had hundreds of thousands of regular users. So their address was anything but a secret. Anyone who runs Tor and knows the url of a site, (ends in ".onion") can easily visit these or other illegal online markets.

It should not be confused with the Deep Web

The Dark Web is not the Deep Web and does not represent 90% of the Internet. There is a confusion between the so-called Deep Web and Dark Web.

The Deep Web is a huge collection of all internet sites that are not accessible by search engines. These unindexed websites include huge volumes of content such as forums that require registration, dynamic websites, services like Gmail and more.

The Real Dark Web, on the other hand, probably represents less than 0,01% of the web: says security researcher Nik Cubrilovic which counted less than 10.000 hidden Tor services in a recent Dark Internet crawl. The number 10.000 is very small, compared to the hundreds of millions of regular websites on the Deep Web.

Although the Dark Web is often associated with the sale of drugs, weapons, counterfeit documents and child pornography content, all websites use the Tor service and do not contain only "dark" websites as the name implies.

The same service is used by one of the first high-profile pages of the Dark Web, Tor , a hidden service created to accept leaks from anonymous sources. That idea has since been adapted into a tool called SecureDrop, software that integrates Tor's hidden services with any news organization that wants to receive anonymous submissions. Even Facebook, as we reported last week, launched a site on the Dark Web with the aim of better protecting (!) users visiting the site with Tor to avoid surveillance and censorship.

Of course, as is often the case, it is not known whether the Tor network can evade surveillance by the authorities and the secret services. The question remains. It is known that the FBI with Europol seized dozens of Tor services, including three of the six most popular drug markets on the Dark Web. Now, how exactly the federals did this remains a mystery.

Marianas web file…

The first time you heard about the Deep Web you probably felt weird. Then you heard about the Dark Web and you fell from the clouds with the "public" drug markets, child pornography data markets, guns and killer rental services.

Did you realize that anything could be bought with Bitcoin?

Then the media discovered it. The scary stories of the hidden web began to circulate in public. Soon after, security companies began publishing stories that wanted them to hunt down villains trying to harm us in the dark paths of the Dark Web.

They discovered a thousand evils, from malware to collections for the sale of human organs.

Like most people, you may find the Dark Web scary, but it always tempts you to learn more.

But the majority of Dark Web pages have nothing to do with the above scary stories. Although the dark internet is said to host communities that seek everything illegal, there is also a huge social network that simply seeks privacy.

To give more food to the media, which are looking for scary stories, we decided to talk about the Marianas web. The deepest part of the web, where no one wants to go… The "Marianna Web".

mw - Marianas web the Deep Web and stories for savages

His legend Marianas web seems to take its name from the deepest part of the ocean, Marrencha's Trench. It is supposed to be the deepest part of the web, a forbidden place of mysterious evil, or at least that is the myth that has been cultivated by a group of online believers.

Depending on where you read the Marianas myths, you will find "the darkest secrets of mankind in its history", the secret location of Atlantis and the "secret archives of the Vatican" or a data files belonging to the most powerful intelligence services on Earth. Many believe that the Marianas web is home to a powerful artificial intelligence entity.

The Marianas web is definitely the definition of the scariest Dark Web, probably because it is technically impossible. It is supposed to be accessible only through quantum computers, which today only exist from large companies, and it seems that they will be slow to reach private homes.

According to the first image, Assange had access to quantum computers through the locked Ecuadorian embassy.

However, lately it has started to be mentioned timidly on reddit and on some "searched" websites (see that after the publication on iGuRu.gr, many will follow). But the story does not seem to be true.

The story seems to be the result of a clickbait or an outrageous joke of a security company (including an infographic and well). A fairy tale that many have interpreted as a fact.

I do not know if there are too many who do not read carefully or avoid cross-referencing stories, or if they end up wanting to believe in Atlantis and various invisible beings.
