Microsoft backs Epic Games in dispute with Apple

The Epic , the Fortnite company, continues the controversy against Apple policy, and apparently has a new supporter.
A filed by Microsoft reports that Apple's latest threat to cut off Epic Games' access from the of Apple developers would hurt their business (Reuters)

Kevin Gammill, CEO of Microsoft's Gaming Developer Experience division, talks about the importance of Epic's Unreal Engine and what would happen if Apple chose to cut access to developer tools.

It states that the Unreal Engine (Unreal Engine) is a "critical technology for many game creators, including Microsoft" as it provides "graphics, rendering, physics, sound and other technologies that work in many ".

However, the most important thing that Gammill mentions is that many creators do not "have the Fr or the possibilities to build their own game engine and use third-party engines”.

What does this mean for the future of Epic Games and Microsoft games?

If Epic Unreal Engine cannot support games for iOS and macOS, Microsoft will have to choose to either leave customer support on the iOS and macOS platforms or choose a different engine to develop new games.
