What new will we see in Windows 10 21H1 of 2021?

"This update will include support for NVIDIA CUDA, which will help professionals use Windows native computers for development and experimentation," said Microsoft.

In addition, there are plans to enable support for Linux GUI applications in the Windows for Linux subsystem.

Disk Management in Settings

Microsoft installs older Windows applications or tools in modern versions found in Windows Settings. Starting with the Windows 10 21H1 update, the Settings app will feature the new disk management tool.

Microsoft brings a state-of-the-art Disk and Partition Manager utility that states it has not been rewritten from scratch and will allow you to view disk information, create, format partitions, and assign letters that correspond to them.

GPU

The Windows 10 21H1 update will also give users more control over the GPU when applications in Windows 10.

If your computer has two GPUs, Windows 10 will use the built-in power-saving GPU and graphics card as a high-performance GPU.

You can go to the graphics settings in the area Settings - Appearance - Graphics settings and determine whether an application should use the high-performance GPU or power saver.

In the 21H1 update, users with multiple GPUs will be able to decide which graphics card to set as the default high-performance card. Additionally, Windows 10 lets you specify the GPU for each application.

Improved audio settings

Microsoft will also allow you to set default devices for your speakers from Settings - System - Sound.

In addition, there is a connection to the audio screen per application in the classic Volume Mixer.

These enhancements will again reduce your reliance on older applications.
