The official premiere of Tenet has caused a stir on pirate websites. There seems to be a lot of interest in the film and some are taking advantage of the fact. Thousands of people have been deceived by downloading fake copies of the film.

The film was scheduled to be released in July, but, after several delays due to the pandemic, Warner Bros. announced that the premiere will take place before the end of August.
This week, Tenet premiered in several countries, including Australia, Canada, the FranceThe Germany, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
But those who decided to watch the movie at home and tried to download one torrent sites they stepped on her. All the pirate websites are filled with fake copies of Tenet.
This is of course not a new phenomenon. Almost all popular movies have fake torrent copies for obvious reasons.
These fake releases can lead to all sorts malware, viruses or something else even worse. There are also relatively harmless files, but usually for someone to upload false torrent intended for personal gain.
Torrents include a file that is supposed to be the movie but cannot be played. But it also contains a readme file, which sends those who want to see the movie to websites that ask for information creditcard "for verification purposes".
In general, these fake torrents are boosted by fake seeders. So while there seem to be thousands of "real" seeders, they are not humans.
