It's a big disappointment when you find out you don't remember where you parked. Fortunately, if you have an iPhone, or iPad or an Android phone you can easily find your car.
Of course the following instructions apply the same to any place you want to mark now and remember later. So if you have a smartphone there are two solutions to find your lost car. Use Google Maps or Google Assistant. In fact, the second way is quite lazy, since it does not require you to click or even unlock your phone.
If you have Google Assistant on your device, whether it is Android, iPhone or iPad and you have a little knowledge of English, since Google Assistant still does not "understand" Greek, this method will amaze you. Let's look at both methods.
In principle, for both methods you should have an internet connection, have "Location" open and your applications have access στην τοποθεσία σας. Για το αν έχετε σύνδεση με το διαδίκτυο κάθε user surely he knows best and no instruction is needed.
To activate the "Location" and check if the application “Maps” and “Google” have access to it, do the following:
1. On the phone or tablets σας, σύρετε προς τα κάτω από την κορυφή (μία ή δύο φορές, ανάλογα με το μοντέλο) και, στη συνέχεια, πατήστε το εικονίδιο με το γρανάζι για να ανοίξετε το menu Settings.
2. Then click on "Location".
3. Make sure "Site Access" is turned on.
4. Click "Permission" and see if "Maps" and "Google" are "always allowed". If not, allow these two applications to license the site. Then use one of the following methods.
Using Google Maps
1. Once parked in a place, open Google Maps on your mobile and tap the target to show you exactly where you are.
2. Click the blue dot on the map that shows you where you are now. A screen with 4 options will open. Select "Save parking"
3. That was it. Now when you turn on the map you will see a sign on what you refer to as "Parked here".
Now you can figure out which route to take to get to your car or you can even use the "Parking here" point as a destination and let the maps guide you there.
Using Google Assistant for Android
1. Open Google Assistant in one of the following ways: Say one of the phrases "OK, Google" or "Hey, Google" on your phone, even if it is locked.
2. When Google Assistant is open and listening, you can say one of the following commands:
"I parked here" or "I park here" or "Remember where I parked".
Google Assistant will confirm that it understands your command and that it remembers your parking location.
3. Later, to find your car, open Google Assistant again and say one of the following commands:
“Where did I park?” or “Where is my car?” or “Find my car's location”
A map will appear showing you where your car is parked. Tap the map to open Google Maps and go to the parking lot.
Google will save the parking location for 24 hours. If you want to "forget" her earlier, just tell the Assistant "Forget where i parked".
The above trick works in almost the same way on iPhone and iPad devices.
