ESET announced today that it is starting to make available the latest versions of its security products for home users users of Windows. The new versions of ESET Internet Security, ESET NOD32 Antivirus and ESET Smart Security Premium offer upgraded protection.
Security enhancements include malware detection, web banking, password security and smart home protection, and meet ESET's goal of creating a more secure digital world for all.
With the ever-increasing volume of online attacks, it is vital for users to be secure in their online activities. These updates provide fixes for critical issues such as online payments and banking-related threats, identity theft, and leakage personal information, stolen passwords and the security of connected devices.
ESET is constantly improving its solutions to ensure that users have access to the latest cybersecurity technologies without compromising the operation of their system. The updates offer Improved Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Advanced Level of Machine Learning, as well as a significant reduction in the size of the Machine Learning function.
Other key updates include the new Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and System Registry features to detect malware that uses WMI or the system registry. The Connected Home feature has been improved with better features for detecting connected devices and troubleshooting security.
The security of financial transactions is a top priority and the upgraded Protection of Banking Transactions & Electronic Payments offers a special secure browser function through which users can make secure payments online.
The new feature allows users to run, via prechoices, any supported browser in safe mode. With secure mode enabled, keyboard and mouse communication with the browser is encrypted, thus preventing keylogging.
In addition, thanks to the additional level of protection provided by Banking & Electronic Payments Protection, when the protocol Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is enabled users receive updates about impending risks of RDP exploitation by malware.
